Reliable Crew Transfer & Offshore Wind Support

At Predator Marine, we provide professional crew transfer vessel charter and offshore wind support, transporting technicians, project personnel, equipment and light cargo safely and efficiently between port and offshore sites.

Our Windcat 4 crew transfer vessel (CTV) provides a capable and versatile platform for offshore wind operations. Designed for demanding commercial marine environments, she combines excellent manoeuvrability, practical deck space and comfortable passenger accommodation with the performance required for offshore crew transfer and project support.

We understand that vessel reliability is critical to offshore construction, operations and maintenance. Delays getting personnel or equipment offshore can quickly affect an entire project, which is why Predator Marine focuses on providing a responsive, dependable and flexible service from mobilisation through to completion.

More Than Just Crew Transfer

Windcat 4 can provide much more than transportation between port and offshore assets. The vessel can support technician transfers, equipment and cargo movements, survey operations, offshore inspections, safety and standby duties and general wind farm support.

Providing technicians with a comfortable environment during transit can also help personnel arrive offshore ready for work, helping clients maximise available weather and operational windows.

Whether you require a vessel for a single operation, short-term cover or a longer-term offshore campaign, Predator Marine can tailor the vessel and crewing arrangement around your project.

Windcat 4 – 15m Crew Transfer Vessel

Windcat 4 is a 15-metre commercial CTV ideally suited to offshore wind and marine support operations.

Passenger comfort and practicality are important during offshore transfers. Windcat 4 provides an enclosed and heated passenger saloon, onboard facilities and dedicated areas for personnel and equipment, creating a comfortable environment during transit to and from offshore sites.

The vessel offers useful working deck space for equipment and cargo and is powered by twin Volvo Penta D12 marine diesel engines with Hamilton waterjet propulsion, providing excellent manoeuvrability for offshore operations and transfers.

Windcat 4 is supported by experienced, commercially qualified crew and maintained for demanding commercial operations.

Safety at the Heart of Our Operations

Safety is central to every Predator Marine operation. Our vessels carry the required lifesaving, navigation, communications and firefighting equipment for their certification and operating category, with equipment maintained and serviced in accordance with the applicable requirements.

Predator Marine combines professional vessel management with the flexibility of an independent operator, allowing us to respond quickly to changing project requirements.

Based in Lowestoft on the UK East Coast, we are ideally positioned to support offshore wind projects throughout the Southern North Sea and wider UK waters.

Windcat 4 – Crew Transfer Vessel

Professional CTV Charter for Offshore Wind Operations

Windcat 4 is Predator Marine’s dedicated 15-metre Crew Transfer Vessel (CTV), available for offshore wind farm crew transfer, technician transport, cargo movements and general offshore support.

Designed specifically for commercial offshore operations, Windcat 4 provides a reliable and versatile platform for transporting personnel and equipment between port, offshore wind turbines and other offshore assets.

With a proven CTV design, powerful twin-engine installation and Hamilton waterjet propulsion, Windcat 4 offers excellent manoeuvrability and control when operating around offshore structures.

Offshore Crew Transfer

Windcat 4 is ideally suited to the daily transportation of wind farm technicians, engineers and project personnel to and from offshore sites.

The vessel provides a stable and practical working platform for personnel transfers, allowing offshore teams to be transported safely and efficiently while maximising available operational and weather windows.

Whether required for planned maintenance campaigns, construction support, technician transfer, emergency vessel cover or longer-term charter, Windcat 4 can be mobilised to support a wide range of offshore wind projects.

Built for Offshore Wind

Windcat 4 was designed as a purpose-built Crew Transfer Vessel, rather than a general workboat adapted for crew transfer duties.

Her 15-metre catamaran hull, twin Volvo Penta D12 marine diesel engines and Hamilton waterjets provide the power, manoeuvrability and redundancy expected from a commercial offshore CTV.

The vessel is capable of operating in demanding offshore environments while providing the skipper with precise vessel control during close-quarters operations around turbines and other offshore structures.

Comfortable Technician Transport

Crew comfort is an important part of any offshore transfer.

Windcat 4 provides a fully enclosed and heated passenger saloon, giving technicians and project personnel a comfortable environment during transit to and from the wind farm.

The vessel provides dedicated passenger seating and space for personal equipment and kit, helping personnel arrive offshore rested and ready for their working shift.

On longer transits, the enclosed accommodation provides protection from the weather and a considerably more comfortable environment than travelling on an open or smaller workboat.

Cargo & Equipment Transfer

Windcat 4 isn’t limited to personnel transfer.

Her working deck allows the vessel to transport tools, equipment, spares and light project cargo alongside offshore personnel.

This makes Windcat 4 a versatile project vessel capable of combining technician transfer and logistical support within the same operation, potentially reducing the requirement for additional vessel movements.

Hamilton Waterjet Propulsion

Windcat 4 is equipped with Hamilton HM422 waterjets, providing excellent manoeuvrability and responsive vessel handling.

Waterjet propulsion is particularly suited to CTV operations where precise control is required during approaches, departures and close-quarters manoeuvring around offshore structures.

Combined with her twin Volvo Penta D12 engines, Windcat 4 provides a powerful and highly manoeuvrable platform for offshore wind operations.

More Than Crew Transfer

Alongside conventional CTV duties, Windcat 4 can support a range of offshore projects including wind turbine support, offshore inspections, survey operations, equipment transfer, safety and standby duties, environmental projects and general marine support.

This versatility allows clients to use one vessel across multiple elements of an offshore campaign rather than restricting the vessel solely to personnel transportation.

Flexible CTV Charter

Windcat 4 is available for single-day operations, short-term campaigns, emergency CTV cover and long-term charter.

Predator Marine can provide flexible crewing arrangements depending on the project requirements, allowing us to respond quickly when additional vessel capacity or replacement CTV cover is required.

Based in Lowestoft, Windcat 4 is ideally positioned for mobilisation to offshore wind projects throughout the Southern North Sea, UK East Coast and wider UK waters.
